Strong coffee required!

There’s plenty of long hours in store this month. The general and local elections will see our trainers working overnight reporting back to their to their respective radio and TV news desks with count results. Always an exciting time for journalists with an interest in politics.

Mediapro also has a busy training schedule. There’s our popular Get Media Savvy! course on Tuesday 12 May along with our bespoke Media Master Classes and Crisis Management and the Media coaching, which focus on practical realistic scenarios and interview techniques.

We’re delighted too that a story one of our broadcast journalist’s recently covered has ended happily. After initially being told to close on 23 and 24 May for ‘safety’ reasons, the Earlham Park Cafe is now being allowed to open during BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend. About 50,000 music fans are expected to attend to see acts such as Taylor Swift and Years & Years. The cafe’s owners say they’re looking forward to a busy weekend of trading which is likely to make more than a year’s worth of profit! Goes to show, a bit of positive radio and TV exposure really can make all the difference.
